also, what you said about adding light/shade/texture to the years, yes. like i said, i want his journey to be multi-layered, multi-faceted. like a novel. several different homes/masters. several people he meets (jon? idk what jon is yet, i feel like maybe he works at the brothel but is trying to help them escape). several different worlds. i will need more ideas for those, besides spencer... hmm.
