what do you mean, how did he get to be with him? like, when they were ~together the previous summer for a few months? i see that as sort of ~starting around the time of that flashback when bden came out to his parents and came home to shane and shane was all ~perfect. they started getting closer over the following weeks, one thing led to another, sexxitiemz happened, and they kind of started this thing for a few months. and it was awesome, a totally positive experience, brought them closer overall... but, like bden said, they kinda realized they were never going to fall in love or anything, so they should probably stop while they were ahead.
