So, commenting on fic master lists is totally made of fail XD, but I finally have 10 seconds to comment here about how completely made of awesome you are, so I'm going to anyway :P (also, I just typed up like half of this epically long comment then lost it, and I want to murder my computer in some horribly dramatic way DX Lol...anyhow :D)
I stumbled across your writing at the very beginning of Jan, having read all of three pieces of bandfic (and rps, for that matter) *ever*. A friend had sent a few things my way from when she used to write PatD slash, and I kind of went hey, this stuff's interesting, maybe I'll check it out. I was about to leave on a trip to the US with no internet, so I figured I'd copypasta some bandfic onto my computer and see what it was like. And what do you know, I head into the terrifying jungle that is google/lj and the first thing I stumble across is chapter 17 of pwf.
Now, I have to admit, I saw your hilariously awesome fail!blurb and kind of went...fail :P But then, as I browsed around for something interesting, I kept seeing people talking about how much they adore pwf, and I decided it had to be worth a look. So I grabbed the prologue and ch1 and saved them to my harddrive and flew off to the other side of the world.
24 hours later, I totally *paid* for hotel internet so that I could get the rest. And just about died when I realised it wasn't finished, lol.
So I read the first 17 chapters of pwf in an epic marathon that involved me locking myself in my hotel room under a blanket and bawling my eyes out and not sleeping at all instead of doing all those things you're meant to do when you go on holiday to a foreign country, 'cause frankly pwf > holiday stuff so epically that there are no words XD Of course, then I had to go locate an internet cafe so I could trek through the snow each morning to see if you'd updated :P Copypastad the 12 Days of Kinks...and Rotation...and When Pigs Fly... and maybe some of your other fics to tide me over in the meantime, and discovered that in fact everything you write is amazing, not just pwf.
By the time I hopped on a plane from the US to Japan, I had turned into a hopeless bandom fangirl (and hopeless fangirl of *you* :P) and put my own poor readers into a state of panic (lol) because I've barely touched my own fic and my own fandoms since I discovered yours, lol.
I read the glory that is the final chapter and epilogue of pwf in a horrible hotel room in Kansai after flying for an indecent number of hours and struggling through Japanese customs at 2am, and it totally made my day :D
Continued to use unreasonable amounts of time finding internet points and saving your fic so I could use further unreasonable amounts of time reading it, and read Full Moons and Minor Keys, which is unjustly fabulous for being your first rps.
And now, at last, after 5 weeks of reading your amazing amazing work and wanting to madly comment all over it and not having internet, I have tumbled back into my home town of Brisbane, Australia, and have internet, and am here to rant and rave like a bouncing fangirl about how ridiculously much you are made of win. I wish I could write a more coherent, less rambling essay of praise, but I hope this gets across just a little bit of how wonderful I think you are :) Oh, and you've totally converted me to bandom, for which I definitely owe you, like, my first born child or something ;D
So thaaaaankyou for all the amazing fic, and for being at least one of the top 3 things about this year for me so far XD (hey, inauguration's a lot to compete with :P) Going to stop rambling and friend you now :D
