also. things to ponder. if brendon had a safeword*, what would it be? i feel it wouldn't be random. it would be... meaningful. somehow. even in a small way, just to him. i considered "fever," but it's kind of too cliche, y/n? i almost feel like it would be ryan-related... something ryan said to him once, something that recalls a safe, positive memory. a meaningful song/band they listened to together once, on the hood of ryan's car one night after driving out to the desert. jeez, i could write a whole prequel (yes, this is for pccf, i'm exploiting your ideas for my fic, nothing new here, move along) just based on how he acquired his safeword. and then i would write epic urievaldez(s) and brencer prequels in which said word was used. srsly, you have no idea how badly i want to do this. stop me.

*if you aren't kinky didn't know, a safeword is a word to use in bed when you're engaging in intense powerplay/s&m/bondage/kink, that sort of thing. a word where, if it becomes too much, you can say it and your partner will immediately know to stop. it beats just saying "stop" or "no," because a lot of times in those situations, when someone says that, they don't really mean it. ;)  (and no, pccf isn't turning into That kind of fic, but there will definitely be some ~playtiemz going on and just, i need the word, okay?  shut it.

ALSO HAY. does anyone want to go to the 4/18 bamboozle road show (the masquerade, atlanta)? aka, THE MOTHERFUCKING CAB (also we the kings and FTSK)? i have two tickets, keri'll go with me, but she's not like, crazy about it. so she told me i could ask here, see if anyone wants to come. we can orgasm over ian's solos together! \o/

ETA: people keep talking in comments about how they have so much trouble finding stuff they like on SATD or comms in general -- do you guys not know about DCR??  it lists only completed stuff, it compiles everything that's posted in comms on a daily basis, and there are recs posted every day.  it's so much easier to just look quickly and find something you like.  it's the only place i go ever to find reading material.  i only post on SATD 'cause it's like, all we have, panic comm-wise, and so people who haven't friended me can get on board if they want.  *shrug* just wanted to spread the word!
