oh i see you digging the piano-maker/piano-tuner idea. i know a couple of things about this, so i might be able to help. and if i don't know, i know where to look. so if you have a question or whatever... :)
and the blacksmith idea! i'm still kinda stocked at the image of ryan curled into a ball, hammering a tiny piece of iron (i have clearly got no technical language on blacksmith...ery. -ing? whatever.) as to draw patterns on an old sword. he practices a lot too, in my mind, on pieces of metal he finds here and there. at first the lines are clumsy and awkward, not quite round enough to be curvy or even enough to be straight.

also, SHANE. i will love you endlessly, im kind of sick of the only spanish in fics is gabe saying querido and te amo all the time.
