Hallo all.

This is a standard automated message (okay, not automated, nor particularly standard; I just wanted to say "standard automated message") for those who wonder why my journal has no entries.

This would be because I refuse to submit to the fleeting generation-Y fad that is LJ. (Don't worry; I make it sound much more political and melodramatic than it actually is.)  Plus it's fun when all my friends complain about having to go all the way over to MySpace to read my blog... hehe. Obviously, I've already been seduced brainwashed recruited by MySpace, and that's about the extent of the pop culture in which I can allow myself to participate. :P  But, alas, a few of my friends choose to maintain their bloggage here on the dark side, so here I am.  Also because they gave me the option of 15 user icons if I let them exploit me for advertising purposes.  Said advertising appears to be relatively uninvasive thus far, so I feel like I got a bargain.

I can be found on Facebook and MySpace, and my ghetto humble personal website is here.

(As you can see, the one seemingly LJ-exclusive feature to which I am tempted to propose marriage is the strike-out function.)

Anyhow, in conclusion, I am always up for new friends who don't mind an old-fashioned fart like myself. :P

Cheers.

Woo-hoo, Rebekah backs me up!! ;) Yeah, I am still not sure what Myspace is centered around, lol...it definitely seems to have a more shallow vibe, especially with the emphasis on photos and "top 8" and stuff like that. And yes, trendy as hell...plus I get deluged by messages and friend requests from random strange creeps on there (mostly based on my pics and the simple fact that I'm young and female), whereas on lj people can't comment on my lj unless they're at least an lj member (and ever since I changed it to that from anonymous, I have not gotten a single evil troll or anything remotely annoying even!), and can't email me unless they're on my friends list I think; I believe I have my email addy on my userinfo set to friends-only visibility. People generally want to friend me on here because they actually like reading what I write (and often because we also have many shared interests, especially if they meet me on a lj community), not because of what I look like or anything...

And yay for the personal being the political! Except, of course, most of what I write on an average day isn't very political at all, heh. Oh well.

I dunno, I think even an account of an average day can be political. it's saying that your life is worthy of documentation, and for a queer female, even tiny stuff matters!

*nods* I do think my life is worthy of documentation...even when it's utterly boring. ;)
